Etihad Airways provides service to the United States and Australia. Operation of Etihad Airways is forever expanding though, so it would be foolish to assume that it will stay that way for the foreseeable future.

An airport expansion is due to be completed in 2010 which should reduce the developing crowd often seen at peak times. Dhow harbour is close to port Zayed and offers connection to oil rigs and supply vessels. Arab shipping boats start racing from this harbour and this regular activity is a great tourist draw.
